What this little shop collects, why, and the choices you have.

Just a Love Note ("we," "I") is a small handmade card shop run by Lauren in Orange, California. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit justalovenote.com or place an order, and how it's used. The short version: I collect only what's needed to fulfill your order and stay in touch if you ask me to, and I never sell your information.
Information collected
- Orders. When you check out, payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details, name, email, and shipping address. This site never sees or stores your card number. I receive your name, email, shipping address, and what you ordered so I can make and mail your cards.
- Contact & custom order form. If you send a note through the contact form, I receive the name, email, and message you provide (delivered via Netlify Forms) so I can reply.
- Newsletter. If you join the love-letter list, I keep your email to send occasional updates about new designs and seasonal cards.
- Your cart. Items in your cart are stored in your own browser's local storage on your device — they aren't sent anywhere until you check out.
How it's used
- To make, pack, and ship your order, and to contact you about it if needed.
- To reply to questions and custom order requests.
- To send newsletter emails — only if you signed up, and you can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.
What's not done with your information
Your information is never sold or rented. It's shared only with the services needed to run the shop: Stripe (payments), Netlify (website hosting and forms), and the postal carrier (your shipping address, on the package). This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Keeping your information
Order records are kept as long as needed for taxes, bookkeeping, and customer service. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. If you'd like your information updated or deleted, email hello@justalovenote.com and I'll take care of it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
